My award nominated senior capstone research project weaves combines my interests in education, brand identity, and product design to prototype an app design that helps students become financially literate and confident.
How can visual identity, language, and interaction design encourage students to develop financial balance and success?
Increased projected retention rate by 50%, increases mood of student sample group by 70%.
Many college students graduate without the financial literacy skills needed to confidently manage budgeting, loans, and credit because these topics are rarely taught in school.


College students have had clear negative experiences with the existing financial apps and education resoures available, which leaves us room to create their ideal product.
Mello fills the unmet intersection of a financial education app that is engaging and actually interesting, but also can offer growth opportunities across a wide range of knowledge and backgrounds.
